Tex: My numbers will be there
Through 41 games, Mark Teixeira is batting just .226 with 5 home runs and 20 RBIs. His slugging percentage is a mere .384, lower than every Yankee regular other than Russell Martin. Simple arithmetic says that at this pace, Teixeira will end up with about 20 home runs and 80 RBIs for 2012, the worst numbers of his career. Tarp is off, and the lines are on
The rain has stopped and it looks like the game will start on or close to the scheduled time of 7:08 first pitch. The grounds crew is putting down the foul lines and batter’s boxes and some of the Royals are on the field warming up, so it looks like we will at least see the start of a ballgame tonight. Raining in the Bronx
Duh. Unless you live in you live in a room without windows, you know what I’m talking about. The forecast calls for periods of rain all night but it has stopped and started several times this afternoon, raising the likelihood that at least some of this game will be played. And the Royals making their only trip to NYC these three days, I’m sure every effort will be made to play this one, which probably means a long, late, wet night.
